A working linocut room in the city centre

Linia Press is a printmaking studio devoted to relief printing—especially linoleum cut. We keep a quiet bench for carving, a shared inking table, drying racks, and a small selection of papers suited to oil-based and water-washable inks. The space is built for adults who want unhurried craft time, whether that means a first workshop or a multi-week edition.

Our neighbourhood sketch above is intentional: we sit on Strada Memorandumului, close enough to the old town that you can walk in after coffee and leave with ink still under your nails. Visitors come for weekend introductions, midweek open press, and signed prints hung in the front room. We do not rush the registration marks; we teach how to plan a block before the first cut.

If you are looking for a gift edition, a portfolio print, or a place to finish a series you started elsewhere, bring notes or a sketch. We will help you choose paper weight, ink body, and a drying schedule that fits Cluj humidity rather than a textbook ideal.
